Fioricet Interaction with Other Drugs

Fioricet should not be taken if you have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) within the last 14 days. The MAO should be completely out of your system before you start using Fioricet, otherwise dangerous life-threatening side effects can occur.
Do not take a dosage of this drug that is larger than what is recommended by your doctor as an overdose of acetaminophen can cause damage to your liver. Be careful if you are using any other non-prescription cough, cold, allergy, or menstrual pain medication as these drugs can also contain acetaminophen or caffeine. Tell your doctor if you are using these medications before you buy Fioricet as you can accidentally overdose on acetaminophen or caffeine.
Fioricet, if taken together with some other medications like antidepressants, antihistamines, sedatives (used to treat insomnia), other pain relievers, anxiety medicines, and muscle relaxants can make you extremely drowsy. Be sure to tell your doctor about any medications that you are taking and do not start using Fioricet until your doctor approves.
Below you can find a list of drugs that can interact with Fioricet. Be sure you read through this section before you buy Fioricet.

This list DOES NOT include every drug or pill that may interact negatively when taking Fioricet. Tell your doctor about any prescription and non-prescripton drugs, vitamins, minerals, herbal supplements and drugs prescribed by other doctors before you start using Fioricet.
